October: The start of fall, breast cancer awareness month, the perfect time to quote Mean Girls… October means a lot of things to us. So in honor of one of my favorite months coming to an end, I dedicate this post to my top favorite pink looks from SS15 Ready-to-Wear!

Four days later, on we trekked to Sicily! True there are many stereotypes about Sicilian people, but I will tell you one fact: They really do love their food! Sicilian food felt like a true Italian experience; spaghetti, pizza, you name it. Even more magical was the landscape. As you may know, Sicily is a mountainous island. We stayed in a charming hotel in the capital, Palermo. The city reminded me very much of Rome, except perhaps slightly less grand. Palermo gives off a tangible city-vibe, which was what we were hoping to escape once we arrived. Luckily, an hour by train took us away to the seaside village of Cefalú. I don't think I could properly describe the beauty of this Sicilian village if I tried! Here we spent most of the day on the beach and swimming in the Mediterranean, an experience unparalleled to any I've had before. One day we decided to climb a mountain! The views from the top of Il Rocco brought on a feeling of absolute bliss. I think the photos will just have to speak for themselves!

















This holiday was a whirlwind of exciting adventure that I was so grateful to have.
I never imagined that I would get to travel the world with my soul mate, but here is the living proof that we actually did it!

I must start by apologizing for the delay in this post, as it has been a month since my holiday. I won't bore you with excuses, but think about it: Transitioning back to America from a whirlwind adventure in Europe? Takes a toll on a girl. I like to think of it as reverse culture shock...

In a word Italy was bellisimo!

We began our adventure in Rome, where grand structures and ancient history reigns supreme. Though the area is crowded with tourists, the beauty of the city is undeniable. Venturing throughout the backstreets of Rome with the hot sun glowing on our backs was the ultimate spirit lifter. Adventure awaited us around every corner. We saw the Colosseum, the Pantheon, The Vatican, Circus Maximus and Piazza Navona. Even more appreciative we were of the hidden but equally beautiful treasures placed throughout the historic city. It goes without saying that Rome is a city of ancient wonder, defined by its grand architecture and cobblestone landscape. Being in Rome felt like we were time traveling to an era where everything is romantic and anything is possible.

To our dismay, the Trevi Fountain was closed for cleaning. But we did discover a hidden treasure called Dell'Acqua Paola. After a near-twenty minute trek on the uphill backstreets, we found it. Cool streaming water flowed from the largest fountain I had ever seen. Across from the fountain was a breathtaking view. Our twenty minutes trek? So worth it!

After months spent living in London, one begins to pine for the purity of a fresh breeze every once in a while. So the other weekend, we all hopped on a train down to Brighton Beach! Beautiful sunny weather and fresh air greeted us. The beach was stunning, the pier was exciting, and the shopping was incredible. There is great shopping in Brighton, especially at The Lanes. Along The Lanes you'll find anything from high-end (popular and "vintage") to treasures from actual antique vintage stands selling at yard sale prices. Shopping, sunbathing on the beach and fresh air... some of my absolute favourite things to make a perfect day!
