London 101

3:16 PM

This week marks the first of a 12 week MSU study abroad program in London. Here I will be taking classes through CAPA and interning 4-5 days a week with a PR agency. While the details are still rolling in regarding my international PR internship, I am keeping busy by exploring this glorious city, and of course taking classes twice a week. Only a 20 minute tube* stop away, the CAPA building is where I attend both my Learning Through Internships and London: Writing the City courses.

*The tube: The subway, or as Londoners would also say, the underground. Literally hundreds of miles of underground railway; safe, easy and efficient.

My flat* is located directly at the Waterloo Road roundabout. This area, for those of you who don't know, is almost as central London as it gets. The London Eye and Big Ben are just a short walk away!

My six new friends in this study abroad group (all from MSU) and I have made it to almost every sector of central London in just the first week. Here are just a few of the sites:

South Bank (Big Ben across the Thames River!)

Big Ben and Parliament

Buckingham Palace

I am eager to delve even deeper into the rich history and culture that London has to offer. Look forward to my upcoming London updates!
